My beloved Man is totally obsessed with no-bake chocolate balls, so I make it quite often… Well, actually, I once made a whole birthday cake from the dough for him.

Now, I took our old recipe, which is quite popular in Hungary, there is no Hungarian man who wouldn’t recognise it, but as always, I made a twist on the usual recipe and created two different type of sweet treats.

And I have to tell you, this recipe is amazing. This is a real game changer. It’s like the best cookie dough of your life EVER. Plus it’s quick and easy to make, so you definitely have to try it! 🙂

Ingredients for the chocolate flavoured balls

  • 200g digestive biscuits (15-16 pieces)
  • 120g ground almonds
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 50g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 2 heaped tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 100-150g desiccated coconut (to cover the peanut butter balls)

Method

Crush your biscuits (use a food processor or put the biscuits into a bag and use your rolling pin – such a good exercise for easing off the stress). 🙂

Melt unsalted butter and peanut butter together on the hob in a pan or in the microwave.

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the biscuits crumbs, ground almonds, icing sugar, cocoa powder and a pinch of salt.

Add your melted butter mix alongside with vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined. If your mixture wouldn’t hold together well, add a tbsp milk to it.

Put it in the fridge for 20 minutes.

Then make walnut sized little balls from the dough with lightly wet hands and roll them in desiccated coconut.

Ingredients for the white peanut butter balls

  • 200g digestive biscuits (15-16 pieces)
  • 120g ground almonds
  • 100g icing sugar
  • 50g unsweetened milk powder
  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 2 heaped tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100-150g desiccated coconut (to cover the little balls)

Method

Exactly the same as the chocolate flavoured balls above.

Refrigerate them up to 1 week, in case you have some leftover, but trust me… that’s not gonna happen.
